Brian J. Hood

As a resident, a construction professional, and a proponent of SWFL for nearly 20 years, Brian has witnessed its exceptional growth first-hand. As the demand for more able and effective general contractors in the area continued to increase, Brian co-founded a company that could not only meet those needs but be one that would excel beyond the highest levels of professionalism and integrity in the industry. Brian attended Louisiana Tech University and ULM and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management. Before starting Waltbillig & Hood, he had been facilitating numerous hospital and commercial construction projects in SWFL and across the Southeast where he gained experience in estimating, project management, and successful project delivery. Through his commitment to excellence and a dedication to professionalism, Brian has continued to exceed industry standards with an ability to form strong professional partnerships that are based on authenticity, ingenuity, and reliability. These characteristics, along with well-established ties to SWFL, have enabled Brian and his company to become one of the most recognized and respected names in contracting.

Jay Waltbillig

As a 30-year construction veteran and a native to Southwest Florida, Jay has become a noteworthy leader in the Florida construction industry. After receiving a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Western Carolina University, Jay returned to SW Florida to build his family and career. Jay co-founded Waltbillig & Hood in 2016 with the vision of creating a company that would meet the demands of the region’s exponential growth. With extensive experience in business development, pre-construction, project management, warranty management, and employee development, Jay paired with Brian to lay the groundwork for the growth and reputation Waltbillig & Hood has today. Jay’s ability to foster relationships and achieve client satisfaction has led to his high rate of repeat and referred business. Jay is well versed in all aspects of the construction industry and maintains strong relationships within the local business community.

  • It is with great honor and pleasure that I write this letter on behalf of Brian Hood, Michael Meadors, and Michael Gatley from the Waltbillig & Hood General Contractors team . As this was my first time building a commercial property, I was anxious about the process, which can be daunting. From the moment that Brian Hood and his team took on my project, I can say without any hesitation that I felt I was in the right hands.
